Important Hearing On Proposed Design Guidelines In Huning Highlands
Friday, July 2, 2010 at 09:58AM The Landmarks and Urban Conservation Commission will be having a hearing on new guidelines proposed by the city that apply to alteration of the exterior of buildings, new construction, and demolition in our historic neighborhood.
The ordinance must be approved by the LUCC for the overlay zone. The public is invited to two hearings. The first, July 14, 2010 will be a working session where the LUCC will hear and comment on property owners views.
The second session will be on August 12, 2010 where the plan will be adopted.

Ann Carson’s comment: I have read the plan and it is not really different from the present guidelines, However it now contains photographs and drawings that help ex- plain the parts of a building. This means that the plan will be easier for us to understand. Please read the plan and come to the hearings with your comments.
