HHHDA 2011 Annual Meeting and Elections—Sept 7, 6 pm

by Amberley Pyles

Please join us for the annual meeting and elections! This general membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:00 pm at The Preservation Station at 601 Coal SE, on the northeast corner of Coal and Walter.

Every year, our association hosts an annual meeting to report to the membership on activities, accomplish- ments, and financials of the previous year and to hold elections. 2010-2011 has been a busy and productive year, so there’s much to discuss, including the annual block party, the annual yard sale, the annual Easter Egg tour, the biannual Mother’s Day tour, Dickens of a Dinner, the community garden, the chicken coop, parking, and design plans for Highland Park. The board will present financial statements for each of these events and account for monies raised and spent.

After reporting on the board’s activities and accomplishments, we will hold our annual elections. The table lists those board members up for re-election. Please note that there is one vacancy at this time, but we can accept an unlimited number of candidates.

If you wish to run for the board, you may either contact me (Amberley Pyles - 573 5544 or apyles505@msn.com) before the annual meeting, or you may attend the meeting and nominate yourself before the elections. In order to have your name appear on the ballot, please contact me no later than 8/21/11.

Only HHHDA members may vote, so please renew your membership on this website http://hhhda.squarespace.com/become-a-member/ or in person at the start of our annual meeting. As the website explains, family, resident, business, and property owner memberships cost $5 each, while individual resident memberships cost $3. Each membership receives one vote, except family resident memberships, which receive 2 votes.
